This game is a whole lot of fun for strategy gaming fans. It has a surprising amount of depth and a lot of customisation options for how complex your playing experience will be. The soundtrack is a bit repetitive and would definitely benefit from some more variety to it, but the songs present do the job well enough. It has a great addictive gameplay experience that will make you repeatedly want to keep playing for just another turn. Overall it is a fun and fairly rewarding experience to play

Finally a game comes along that scratches an itch I've had since my days of playing Panzer General. Lots of maps to play through in the campaign as well as scenarios. Well worth the cost in my opinion. Thanks again to the dev for staying the course & creating this great game for us to enjoy.

This is a very deep and involved strategy game that can please enthusiasts of such things. However the mobile version is, in my opinion, not great. It needs at least a tablet to be playable, especially if you don't have excellent eyesight. Very hard to see things especially in places like the Build screen where icons you must click are just a few pixels large. The manual is "meh". The Tutorial is useless. You will need to watch YouTube videos to learn how to play. I recommend the Steam version.

Excellent game all round. The manual is basic enough to give you the gist- press way and find the games actions, a couple of scenarios and you're in. Great content.

A great indie strategy game in the vein of Panzer Corps/Panzer General series. You command an army made of hundreds of beautifully illustrated units, against the enemy into WW2 battlefields. Include campaigns for all the major powers of the war in which you get to keep a small elite force for those winning strategic moves. Fine tuning of complexity, with optional research, policies and manpower management. Almost daily updates from a dedicated Dev. This is the same game you can get from Steam !

Pardon the pun, but ALOT of bang for the buck here! Stand alone sceniors, many campaigns really cool units graphics 4 AI difficulty, some design decisions I don't agree with though, far as I can tell it's impossible to know when a game is unbeatable coz there's no turn limits. By far my favorite strategy game of its type! 10 of 10* for sure!

Great digital representation of Hex/war game! I work in "the field" a lot and love old school war physical games. I found few that translate this well into digital format. Either too often cartoonish animations and "fancy pants" graphics or just really poorly designed. Hex of Steel is really just what I want. Enough detail and game sense like I am playing ony kitchen table. Very happy with continued development and updates and plays great on my old phone lol.

Fun and challenging. Game is very similar to the old Panzer General but with a better AI. There's still a few things I wish could be changed but all in all an excellent design. There is somewhat of a learning curve, at least on the mobile app, but the developers are good at responding to questions and concerns. In my view, this game and the series by Joni Nuttinen are the only decent WW2 games for Android at the moment. Keep up the good work! Update--Game could use some better refined scenarios

I was able to figure out a way to save my custom units after closing the app and reopening the app. but unfortunately, it seems the app updates seem to default the custom units even after loading the custom "Units.csv".

Barely really started playing, but I'll still give a provisional 4 stars cause I understand the hard work that goes into making these games and I can see there is definitely some polish to this, but I will say this one gripe that I have. The unit list is far too editable and with basically no way to revert changes back to their default. The only way atm to do that is to reinstall the game. I think this could be fixed with a simple reset to default button. Other than that great game indeed

I love this game! It feels like panzer corps in your pocket. My only small problem is that the bigger maps like Europe 1939 are unplayable ( app stops and phone is galaxy a11). I really wanted to play the wider European theater but this is still a very good game. Edit: Is there anyway to shoot down a v2? Fighters can't seem to touch them.
